Care Instructions & Materials
How to Use
- Placement: Place the loop over your dog's neck, ensuring the leather slide is facing away from the handle.
- The Slider: Move the leather slide down toward the neck to prevent the loop from slipping off.
- Positioning: For best training results, position the loop high on the neck, just behind the ears.
- Go for an adventure and have fun!
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Daily Care: Wipe the rope with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
- Washing: Hand wash with mild soap and warm water. Avoid machine washing to protect the leather accents.
- Leather Care: Occasionally use a leather conditioner on the oil-tanned sliders to keep them soft and supple.
- Drying: Lay flat to air dry. Avoid high heat sources.

FAQ
What is a slip lead used for?
A slip lead acts as both a collar and a leash. It's primarily used for training, field work, and quick control situations where a standard collar isn't preferred.
Is the 15' length too long for daily walks?
The 15' lead is best suited for training exercises like recall or allowing more freedom in open spaces. For busy city walks, we recommend a standard 4' or 6' Mendota lead.
Can this be used for small dogs?
Yes! The 3/8" diameter is the "Small" size, which is lightweight enough for smaller breeds while maintaining professional-level strength.
Shipping & Returns
All apparel and accessories sold in our Vancouver Boutique and on our website are curated with love. We carefully select brands that value natural materials, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Because of that, we are confident that you will be satisfied with the quality of everything we carry.
However, if something is not exactly what you were looking for, we are more than happy to accept returns within 14 days of delivery date, as long as the items are in their original condition, unused, and with tags still attached.
Due to health and safety concerns, we are unable to accept returns of blankets, toys, or individual poop bag rolls.
Please note:
- We do not issue refunds for products that are not returned or products returned after 14 days from the delivery date.
- Shipping charges are also non-refundable. Please note that we offer free shipping on orders over $100; if a product is being returned, this does not apply and a $14.99 shipping fee will be deducted.
- Any requests for refund/replacement of damaged, defective or incorrect product must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the product and supported with a photo of the damaged or incorrect product as well as shipping box or refund/replacement will not be issued.

For a full refund (excluding shipping and restocking fees), please complete the following within 14 days of the date of purchase for apparel:
- Obtain your authorization number and note this number on your invoice and on the outside of the shipping box.
- Return the product within 14 days of the issuance of your Return Authorization number.
- Mail all sealed products with a copy of the invoice.
- Items on sale or promotion are considered final sale.
