Consider Walking Style: For dogs that are particularly powerful or "pullers" by nature, we strongly recommend stepping up to the Large 1/2" diameter for extra security.

How to Use & Fit
- Fit: Place the loop over your dog's neck. For maximum control, position the loop high on the neck, directly behind the ears.
- Secure: Slide the leather stopper down toward the neck to ensure the loop cannot slip over the dog's head if they back up.
- Communicate: Use light "flick" motions for correction; the lead will automatically loosen when your dog is in the correct position.
- Go for a stroll and have fun!
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Routine Care: Wipe the rope with a damp cloth after use to remove dirt and surface oils.
- Hand Wash: If the leash becomes heavily soiled, hand wash in warm water with a mild, pet-safe soap. Rinse thoroughly.
- Drying: Air dry only. Lay flat in a well-ventilated area. Do not machine dry, as high heat can damage the polypropylene fibers and leather.
- Safety First: Regularly check the leather slider and splices for wear. This leash is intended for walking and training; never use it as a "tie-out" or leave it on an unsupervised dog.

FAQ
What is the benefit of a slip leash over a regular leash?
A slip leash provides an all-in-one solution that allows for gentle corrections and prevents a dog from "backing out" of their collar. It is also excellent for dogs that aren't comfortable with traditional buckle collars being adjusted near their ears.
Will the rope get stiff after it gets wet?
No! One of the best qualities of Mendota rope is that it remains soft and pliable even after being soaked in rain or lake water.
Is this safe for puppies?
Yes, but we recommend using it for light training and short walks. Ensure the leather slider is adjusted correctly so the loop doesn't become too loose or too tight during play.
Shipping & Returns
All apparel and accessories sold in our Vancouver Boutique and on our website are curated with love. We carefully select brands that value natural materials, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Because of that, we are confident that you will be satisfied with the quality of everything we carry.
However, if something is not exactly what you were looking for, we are more than happy to accept returns within 14 days of delivery date, as long as the items are in their original condition, unused, and with tags still attached.
Due to health and safety concerns, we are unable to accept returns of blankets, toys, or individual poop bag rolls.
Please note:
- We do not issue refunds for products that are not returned or products returned after 14 days from the delivery date.
- Shipping charges are also non-refundable. Please note that we offer free shipping on orders over $100; if a product is being returned, this does not apply and a $14.99 shipping fee will be deducted.
- Any requests for refund/replacement of damaged, defective or incorrect product must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the product and supported with a photo of the damaged or incorrect product as well as shipping box or refund/replacement will not be issued.

For a full refund (excluding shipping and restocking fees), please complete the following within 14 days of the date of purchase for apparel:
- Obtain your authorization number and note this number on your invoice and on the outside of the shipping box.
- Return the product within 14 days of the issuance of your Return Authorization number.
- Mail all sealed products with a copy of the invoice.
- Items on sale or promotion are considered final sale.
