What is Renal Failure in Dogs and Cats
Renal failure, also known as kidney failure, happens when other health conditions hinder the normal functioning of the kidneys.

Types of Renal Failure
- Acute Renal Failure
If your pup or kitty consumes a certain toxin, such as household chemicals, they may experience acute renal failure that lasts a few hours to several days. Their kidneys’ function may decline for that period. That’s why it is important to watch out and keep those toxic substances away from them. Bacterial infection can also cause acute kidney failure. - Chronic Renal Failure
As our furriends age, their kidney tissues and functions gradually deteriorate. This process can take months to years until their kidney eventually fails. Larger breeds usually have an earlier onset of chronic renal failure because of their shorter lifespan.
Symptoms of Kidney Failure in Cats and Dogs
Since the kidneys can still perform regular functions as long as their damage isn’t over 66%, for this reason, renal failure’s clinical signs are usually not apparent at the beginning.
Here are a few early, subtle signs of kidney problems you should pay attention to:
- A drastic increase in water consumption and urination
- Weakness and fatigue
When the damage and problems advance, the kidneys may get to the stage of failure. Here are some more severe signs:
- Blood in their urine
- Depression
- A drop in weight and appetite
- Pale gums

Dosage
To be taken twice daily. Determine your pet’s weight and then use the easy chart below to determine the correct dose. This is the minimum dosage.
Pet's Weight Dosage
0 - 15 lb = 0.5 ml
16 - 30 lb = 1.0 ml
31 - 45 lb = 1.5 ml
46 - 60 lb = 2.0 ml
61 - 75 lb = 2.5 ml
Over 75 lb = 3.0 ml
For small animals (rabbits, ferrets), avians, and reptiles use one drop for every two pounds of body weight.
How to Administer
Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provided and place the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth. Some pets can be finicky. If this occurs, consider hiding the drops in foods most pets love, such as fish, chicken, yogurt, or a favorite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.

Every pet responds to natural herbal supplements differently, therefore it is important to be consistent and administer the product daily. Supplements generally take two to four weeks to take effect; however, this will vary from one animal to the next.

We will happily credit your account for any sealed items. Please note that opened/ used items are not eligible for a refund.
NOTE: International orders, outside of USA and Canada, are not covered in the return policy and are therefore nonreturnable and nonrefundable.
Details of refund for sealed items:
- The full purchase price (minus shipping costs and 15% restocking) when your product arrives at our warehouse.
- We do not issue refunds for products that are not returned or products returned after 60 days from the purchase date.
- Shipping charges are also non-refundable. Please note that we offer free shipping on orders over $100; if a product is being returned, this does not apply and a $14.99 shipping fee will be deducted.
- Any requests for refund/replacement of damaged, defective or incorrect product must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the product and supported with a photo of the damaged or incorrect product as well as shipping box or refund/replacement will not be issued.

For a full refund (excluding shipping and restocking fees), please complete the following within 60 days of the date of purchase.
- Obtain your authorization number and note this number on your invoice and on the outside of the shipping box.
