Pulmonary Edema develops when there are free fluids in the chest cavity (around the heart and lungs). This buildup can be caused by various factors, such as an underlying heart condition, infection, and inflammation in heart or lung tissue. Secondary conditions, such as cancer can also cause PE (Pulmonary Edema in cats and dogs) Common symptoms of excess fluid in the chest include wheezing, fast or uncomfortable breathing and decreased energy levels.
If you suspect your pet is suffering from pulmonary edema, it is important to take them to the vet immediately. Your local veterinarian can run specific diagnostic tests for pulmonary edema in dogs and cats, like x-rays, electrocardiograms, and cardiac ultrasounds. If your fur baby is a good candidate for the procedure, the vet may suggest draining the fluid surgically.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for pulmonary edema in cats and dogs. Still, if caught early, you can significantly improve the quality and life expectancy of your furkiddo. Certain dog breeds like Boxers, Schnauzers, Great Danes, and many small breeds like Yorkshire Terriers, Chihuahuas, and Pomeranians are prone to developing heart disease and potential pulmonary edema. Dosage
To be taken twice daily. Determine your pet’s weight and then use the easy chart below to determine the correct dose. This is the minimum dosage.
Pet's Weight Dosage
0 - 15 lb = 0.5 ml
16 - 30 lb = 1.0 ml
31 - 45 lb = 1.5 ml
46 - 60 lb = 2.0 ml
61 - 75 lb = 2.5 ml
Over 75 lb = 3.0 ml
How to Administer
Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provided and place the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth. Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favorite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.
For Best Results
Herbal dietary supplements are beneficial to the health and well-being of your pet and are safe for long-term use. Every pet responds to natural herbal supplements differently, therefore it is important to be consistent and administer the product daily. Supplements generally take two to four weeks to take effect, however this will vary from one animal to the next.

All NHV Natural Pet Products are pure herbal extracts and contain no artificial additives, preservatives or coloring. Shelf life after opening is 6 months and must be refrigerated after opening.

Details of refund for sealed items:
- The full purchase price (minus shipping costs and 15% restocking) when your product arrives at our warehouse.
- We do not issue refunds for products that are not returned or products returned after 60 days from the purchase date.
- Shipping charges are also non-refundable. Please note that we offer free shipping on orders over $100; if a product is being returned, this does not apply and a $14.99 shipping fee will be deducted.
- Any requests for refund/replacement of damaged, defective or incorrect product must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the product and supported with a photo of the damaged or incorrect product as well as shipping box or refund/replacement will not be issued.

For a full refund (excluding shipping and restocking fees), please complete the following within 60 days of the date of purchase.
- Obtain your authorization number and note this number on your invoice and on the outside of the shipping box.
- Return the product within 14 days of the issuance of your Return Authorization number.
- Mail all sealed products with a copy of the invoice.
